Facilities Maintenance Technician

We’re seeking a full-time, energetic, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician with strong on-the-job troubleshooting abilities to perform work at our clients’ commercial business locations throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Job duties include indoor and outdoor work.

General commercial facilities maintenance knowledge is a must. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and work on a ladder when needed throughout the workday. Other job duties include but are not limited to:

Electrical – Must be able to replace light bulbs and ballasts; rewire light fixtures to accept LED bulbs; replace outlets, wall switches, motion-style wall switches, metal halide bulbs and ballasts; remove and replace ceiling can-style light fixtures; and replace outdoor photo eyes for outdoor lighting.

Plumbing – Must be able to remove a toilet and replace a wax ring; install a new replacement toilet; use a commercial toilet snake; change out Sloan flush valve internal parts; replace toilet tanks, interior tank parts and flush mate valves; replace water shutoff valves and faucets; remove and replace water heater units; unclog sinks and floor drains; and work with PVC and copper.

Carpentry – Must have basic carpentry skills including but not limited to performing minor door repairs; door closure adjustments and replacements; door hardware replacement; threshold and door sweep replacement and caulking skills; carpet tile, ceramic tiling and grout repairs; basic drywall repairs; interior and exterior painting; paint color matching; and repair of handicap auto door opener/closure buttons.

Other Duties – Must be willing to assist other departments within the company when needed.

This individual will work independently at our clients’ locations. They will at times be working with other team members. Regular light travel throughout southeastern Wisconsin is required, and occasional overnight stays are required.

Weekday daytime hours, Monday through Friday. Clean driving record required. Must have a high school diploma. College coursework in the building maintenance field and/or a trades certification or a degree is a plus. Must agree to and pass a full background check. Competitive wages paid every other week. Work uniform is required.

Facilities Manager

We’re seeking a Facilities Manager with strong communication and supervisory skills to oversee our clients’ commercial business facilities throughout the northeastern part of Wisconsin.

J&P contracts with financial institutions throughout the Midwest to provide complete facilities maintenance solutions and improvement projects, both interior and exterior. We work alongside some clients’ staff while handling all facilities maintenance and management for others.

The Facilities Manager role will ensure the optimal operation of all facilities under our company’s management, as well as communication with clients for everything from routine site visits to large-scale improvement projects. Three years of commercial facilities maintenance or management experience is required, along with at least one year of financial institution industry experience.

The Facilities Manager will:

  • lead a team of facilities maintenance technicians to conduct site surveys, create a schedule of routine maintenance services, and perform requested services
  • develop and implement cost-saving, energy-efficient operational measures by working with J&P facilities maintenance technicians and the client
  • create and track action items as part of work plans, schedules, improvement or repair projects
  • work with general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to take clients’ projects from concept to completion
  • direct facilities budgeting and provide reporting for the client
  • evaluate and respond to client feedback
  • review and negotiate all bids for service
  • soliciting prospective new clients for new business, educating them on service capabilities
  • ensure compliance with safety, environmental and governmental regulations and standards
  • perform other duties as directed by company leadership

Required skills include:

  • bachelor’s or associate’s degree in business or engineering, or equivalent professional level experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and management including at least 1 year in the financial institution industry and at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • electrical, plumbing, lighting, carpentry and roofing experience
  • knowledge of OSHA standards, as well as those of other governmental and regulatory bodies
  • effective procurement and negotiation skills
  • strong organizational and customer service skills
  • efficient, effective problem-solving skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

The Facilities Manager will perform work in a home office and also on site at our clients’ locations. They will at times be working with other team members and clients’ team members. Light travel throughout northeastern Wisconsin is required, along with occasional overnight stays.

Exterior ATM and Drive-Through Equipment Cleaning Service Technician

We’re seeking an energetic, self-motivated, team player to perform exterior banking equipment and drive-through cleaning at financial institutions throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Responsibilities for this full-time position include but are not limited to exterior detail cleaning of ATMs, banking drive-up equipment, drive lanes and grounds. This individual will work in tandem with a second lead position in a mostly outdoor work environment during weekday hours.

Training will be provided. Candidate must be organized and dependable, as well as have a high school diploma, clean driving record, and positive work history. Some regional travel required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must consent to a background check.
